dividerbyzero.livejournal.com[it had been a trick]
[a horribly sadistic trick devoid of any and all humor, although given the initiator this was not unusual. the President of Ashford's student council was mercilessly compelling in her arguments. this was the fourth time in all their years of knowing one another that she'd managed to outwit Lelouch entirely. she'd told him it was an abandoned orphanage that her family was hoping to restore, that there were kittens and puppies and abused little children wibbling beyond its doors and that the only reason it looked as decrepit as it did from afar was because the landlord was - to put it kindly - a stingy old man who refused to see to any renovations. "It's your job as one of my many drones!" she'd exclaimed, elbowing him with a little too much force in the ribs. "Come on, Lelouch. Rivalz will take you down there this afternoon. All you have to do is convince the landlord not to close the place down! You're the expert on the art of persuasion aren't you?"]
[he didn't know anything about being 'the expert on the art of persuasion' but he'd had no choice once Rivalz had him in a headlock.]
[and like a fool he'd gone along with it.]
[so now here he was, wandering aimlessly down the hall of what he had come to realize was the infamous 'Haunted House of the Shibuya Ghetto', cursing the fact that he'd been so eager to get the entire council off his back that he'd agreed without wondering why the Ashfords would even build an orphanage in Eleven territory anyway]
....This is unbelievably stupid.
